“ We jumped off the highway for a quick lunch while on vacation to northern Illinois. Found this place on Yelp. It was an easy stop off the highway. The owner recommended the tenderloin prepared fresh in house. They were even kind enough to serve it in separate baskets with an extra toasted bun. It was perfect. Pounded thin and served crispy with all the fixings. I also recommend the fresh haystack onion rings! Would definitely stop here again if in the area. ”
“ Was on 74 and got hungry stopped at Rookies, what a treat. Service was, had 1 pork tenderloin they pound out, and their own fresh made onion stack. It was very good meal! We bought one sandwich and ordered an extra Bun. No sweet tea, but it is the north. ”

“ Came on a Wednesday evening with my cousin. He ordered their Wednesday special - chicken dinner. I had been craving for some good chicken wings, and was disappointed when our waitress said their supplier could not get bone-in chicken wings. However, they did have boneless. I decided to give them a try and ordered the teriyaki wings. For drinks, he ordered a Jack and Coke and I got a Mich Ultra Amber. After a beer and a sip of the second one, our food arrived. My boneless teriyaki chicken wings were hot, with plenty of teriyaki, and very good. My cousin's chicken dinner was very impressive (1/2 fried chicken), and had some of the largest portions of chicken I'd ever seen. He said it was very good, but couldn't finish it all. Our waitress was very personable, prompt, and efficient. She came by several times to check on us. She brought my cousin a to-go box for his leftover chicken. Good food, good service, and reasonably priced, I'm going with 5 Stars. I recommend you check them out and help support them during this trying time. ”

“ Husband and I stopped here off I-74 on our way to Davenport. BEST DECISION EVER!! I had the salad, pizza and wings lunch buffet. Crisp lettuce with fantastic dressings and the best cole slaw I've had on a salad bar. Their wings and pizza were superb! My husband had the MONSTER breaded tenderloin sandwich. Fried to perfection- crispy and not overly greasy. Clean surroundings, super friendly staff. I can't recommend this little "out of the way" bar and grill highly enough!! Well worth the time and $ !! ”
